Reflection of my spech

I feel happy what I wrote my speech about. It was hard to spell  the words.  Mrs Hull helped me write my speech.  Overall I feel happy  about it because it  is about my friend.

As l  practiced reading  my speech out loud  I tried to use my cue cards. I was confident, smiled and spoke clearly as I presented my speech to the class.  I was  challenged to swap my cue cards over. I practised doing this. Overall I feel happy because I wasn't scared,  I enjoyed it.

Where does my heart lie?

Where fire jumps up like a tiger
Where my dog plays excited to be with me.
Where my bed calls out to me wanting me to relax and jump in.

The Gold Coast Was Usual Enough

The Gold Coast was usual enough; it had
Sea World, Movie World, the beach, the sea and
Wet 'n' Wild I've been to once.  My aunty, my uncle,
My cousins and I - did what families do -
Made sandcastles, rode the Scooby Do roller coaster,
Swam in the sea, raced down slides, met
The Movie World characters.
Doing nothing important.

The Story Behind My Name

My name is Aieshar.  My mum picked my name.  My name means life live long and be strong.  If I was a boy my name would have been Darrian.  My Aunty Teena calls me Ia.  She has called me Ia since I was a baby.  I like my name because of its meaning.
